Tara Voogt, LPGA
Tara Voogt has spent her career building thriving junior golf programs, increasing female play and implementing programs for male and female golfers of all abilities and ages. Originally from Lawrence, Kansas, where she played golf for the Jayhawks, Tara joined the LPGA in 1996 and began teaching middle school and golf in 1996 in Colorado.
Tara is a LPGA Class A member, TPI certified, former high school golf coach, and she is a member of the LPGA Global Education Team. She holds two Master’s degrees in education which have fueled her passion for teaching and creating programs for golfers. Since 1999, Tara has been teaching and coaching full-time in the Bay Area at several private clubs. Currently, Tara is the Director of Instruction at Claremont Country Club in Oakland, where she has grown the junior golf program from a summer-only experience to a year-around thriving junior golf program which serves beginners to advanced students.
Tara loves creating programs such as the Girls Golf Outing which drew 65 young female golfers. She’s developed and run programs for juniors ages 3-18, from Pee Wee Pounders to competitive year-around leagues. One of her many teaching philosophies is “hook them with the fun and then throw in the fundamentals.” When she’s not coaching, she enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, cooking, tennis, and spending time with her husband and 3 boys.

When I met Tara Voogt in 2015 we knew immediately we would do business together at some point. With original partner Michelle stepping back to be a full-time Mom to sweet Brynn, Tara called Tara V., and the rest is history.
