Tara Fox is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. As the first recruit to play on scholarship for the CAL Women’s Golf Team, she served as captain and graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis in Business Management and Organizational Behavior.
Tara’s passion has always been for helping others learn this amazing game. She is a life member of the LPGA and evaluator for the LPGA Global Education Team educating others around the globe how to teach using the LPGA student-centered instruction model. She also has a passion for traveling and links the two together on her from “Start to Scotland” golf trips. She and her husband Alan own TMI Golf an instructional and travel business together. Alan is from the home of golf, St Andrews, and they met on one of Tara’s client trips when she hosted a group of her students to St Andrews for the first time.
Teaching golf for over 25 years Tara Fox is well known and respected in the Napa Valley community. Tara has found a new residence in Las Vegas where she is equally sought-after for her instructional expertise. As a seasoned LPGA Class A Teaching Professional and Member of the LPGA Global Education Team, Tara's swing philosophy is not to change swings, but to work with each golfer to find their own natural movement and get the most out of their golf swing.
Tara is also fascinated with the mental game and has helped many golfers through tough times on the links which inspired her to write her book, “Grounded Golf.” Because as many professional players know, it’s not just about the golf. The golf swing is just the beginning, the mental game is everything.
Come learn something new no matter where you are in your golf game. Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced or Professional, everyone is welcome.
